The Advocate Dialogues

Are you: a policy expert, academic or stakeholder with an opinion to voice? Still searching for complete analysis of current policy issues and trends? Looking for the latest social indicators and research? Wanting to host a specialized conference?

Then please join us as the Advocate Dialogues explore emerging social policy issues affecting Canada and the world. Using a collaborative approach, the Advocate Dialogues bring together a diverse, knowledgeable, and ever-changing group of participants to delve into exciting and often controversial issues to produce unique insight and high-level analysis.
Published online, participant submissions are presented in as wide an array of mediums as possible, including print, audio, and video, to provide our audience with clear, minimally-edited expert opinion without the constraints of traditional media.
Sponsored by the Advocate Institute, a not-for-profit organization in
Ottawa, Canada, the non-partisan, unbiased dialogues are inclusive, free and accessible to all. Participants are asked to volunteer their time and expertise while the Advocate Dialogues supply a moderator to keep discussions relevant, provide clarification, pose questions, and present feedback.
As discussions are published serially, individual lengths may vary depending on the number of participants and areas of interest to be explored. Audience members and participants should revisit the site regularly to stay up-to-date with the most recent additions.
Organizations or individuals may also request and sponsor specific dialogues. However, to maintain the integrity of the
Advocate Dialogues, all material will be published at the discretion of the moderator in adherence to our guiding principles.
This site and the discussions that take place are for public consumption. Although we cannot guarantee unsolicited submissions will be reprinted, we would like to hear from you and encourage your participation in these important debates.

Thank you for visiting the site. Please check back with us soon.
