1996-1999
Sponsored and/or organized seminars on public policy issues such as disability insurance, poverty reduction objectives in Canadian foreign policy, corporate social responsibility. The Conference Board continued and developed its interest in corporate social responsibility.

1995-2000
Provided organizational and financial assistance to the Richard Weiler Award Fund (for social development and social justice) until fundraising objectives were attained and award procedures were fully established. The Award is now given biennially to people who have provided outstanding service in social development and social justice.

1995-1999
Provided advisory and consulting services to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to develop a National Quality of Life Reporting System.
